How it began for me:
Almost 3 years ago, I realized it was time for me to lay down some ground-work & make some decisions about my future. Being a single parent, I felt my choices were limited as to what I could do to make my future ‘secure’. My 8 yr old boy was diagnosed with ADHD/ODD a few years before, even though he is a full time job in himself, he was/is becoming more independent & every now & then I actually had a few hours to spare. I had no social life (was quite happy on my own), no money to spare anyway. We were just scraping through. We went without here & there as most do, but that was ok. I purchased a computer mid 2004 which was great, but I needed to know how to use it properly so I enrolled in the local TAFE. I can’t say what I had in mind, I’m not even sure how I ended up where I did – when I did, but I do know someone was looking out for me, because in all of the forms I filled in online - joining this site & that - I received a phone call & for the life of me, I can’t explain it – but I knew it was special & I listened & asked questions & whatever I asked was answered openly & honestly.
